Erm inspired by YH... so i just wanted to write. Guess there are also many things u dunno abt me... even my best buddies..

1983: Born in KK hospital, my name "Wanyun" means "music".

1984-1989: Didnt remember much of my childhood.. only by the old yellow photos (which i should start scanning)... cried a lot when i was a baby.. one time my mum so worried that brought me to hospital (just oppo road is SGH haa so convenient rite); another time i drank a whole bottle of syrup when my mum was on the phone... went into the hospital again. then went River Valley kindergarden.. remember the nap time where we had our own towels to sleep on haha..

1990: Studied in Zhangde Pri School.. known in school to be the one who conducts during flag raising, good at music and plays the piano..

1991-1992: Did well in school, first few places in cohort and received books + encyclopedias. Learn Violin for a year and still at Grade 1.. so stopped and gave it up.

1993: Joined Science Club so went for more trips than others to places like Science Centre etc.. but results dropped for no reason..

1995: Performed on the piano with my best fren tat time Sujin (who played the violin) at my batch's graduating ceremony. Graduated with aggregate 252. Got my Grade 5 in piano but gave it up due to lack of time and enduring interest.

1996: Enrolled into the most Chinese speaking environment i ever known: River Valley High. SAP school with no non-Chinese cos everyone takes Higher Chinese. Everyone was smart so some who are lazy still do well without a blink of the eye. Did suffer low self-esteem as i felt i couldn't keep up with them in my results, finances etc. Was in CLDDS (Chinese Language _____ Drama Society).. didn't know and didn't like to act on stage at all..

1998: Resorted to the backstage + props IC for the annual drama production (trained to be a leader and improved in my craft skills). Also learnt abacus somewhere this time but gave up.. not practical at all. Was my Chinese teacher's pet.. my chinese so gd that the whole class needed to buy the essay book except me. I would also remember all the words in "ting1 xie3"..

1999: O levels L1R5 -13. I was totally devastated cos most of my frens got at least 11 pts. RV trend is: the best go HCJC; the bulk of the average and above average enter NJC; the minority of not so gd ones go SAJC. I was the last category.. Went to CHC for the first time (invitation by my cousin) but didn't get saved.

2000: Stayed in SAJC after the 3 months.. later did i know the purpose i was there. I got saved when i was in SAJC on 25 June 2000 at the Family Carnival at Hollywood. Was the youngest in an adult cg but i love it cos i learnt a lot and grew more mature.. and always well taken care of. Joined ART Club and continued my passion.. also proud to say i didn't need to do AO Chinese cos i got A2 for higher Chinese haha..Gave my first building fund of $80 in 6 mths (with just allowance of $2 a day). Got a tuition job (blessing) shortly after and started my "tuitioning" every year ever since..

2001: Baptized on 24 June 2001 at the East Coast Beach.

2002: Joined usher ministry on 18 Feb 2002 when we first moved to Jurong West. The very first day of duty, i just knew in my heart, this is the place i will be staying for long. Started NUS life, cooped up in the freezing cold studio. Industrial Design is a niche subject, under Dept of Architecture... now i wonder why i didn't meet Yonghui in school last time.. I would meet my cousin Keng Hoe there though, he was at his last yr i think.

2003-2004: Continued serving actively in ministry and became a helper. With ups and downs.

2005: Became CG guitarist (and ever since til now playing almost every wk haha time flies!) Got attached. Joined Comms Dept (as the only sister at then). Promoted to Team Leader before moving to Expo.. on 15 Nov 05.

2006: Found first full time job after graduation. Learnt a lot, though it was a terrible environment with a terrible boss. Broke up. Learnt driving and got my license in less than 6 months.. proud to say i passed the first time (unlike many guys i know) and spent only abt $1.3K in total only!

2007: Went to SOT (13th batch)... really unforgettable experience and growth. God re-confirmed my calling in the ministry during GOTP lesson. Wanted to do graphic design but God had a greater plan: Found the miracle job i am at now.. with a good boss, good pay, at good location etc. Financial blessings increase and snowball year after year..

In summary, indeed God's word is proven to be true, God is faithful and good all the time.... Every year, the purpose of God just unfolds bit by bit in my life.. and i comprehend why certain things happen.. nothing in my life is coincident and no experience is wasted. Every year i realise new things and gifts that God has given me.. nothing can rob away that satisfaction knowing ur identity in Him. Also, thank God for the friends who had been with me, seeing me through all these years.. I'm blessed just by the ppl He placed in my life and the true friends i made.. hard to find that in the world. Not forgetting Jesus, my best Friend! Thank God for everything.. yep EVERYTHING.
