Agh i can't believe i am allocated preaching for mock CG lor.. but on the other hand it's a gd thing cos i dun have to be tested during the next round of preaching tests. I was wondering.. mayb i just think of it like giving briefing during usher duty hahaa.. We do impart and share verses or biblical principles during briefings too you know.. usher ministry is a very spiritual ministry.. hehe.. now u know why i not a cgl haha..

And think my guitar skills is put to good use again to play for the 4 mock CGs for coming wed and thurs... for my team members who are taking praise and worship. Means 8 songs in total!! and this Thurs night is multiplication CG.. my poor fingers i pity them hee...

Long meeting today but really excited for Batam Emerge.. wow i dunno how to say. Though it's only 1.5 days there and many things will change but our presence and assistance will cause this youth ministry to grow and be transformed! Pray that they are open to the move of the Holy Spirit and their lives will never be the same again.. =)

For once.. my wish was granted that we can do external cos for a few yrs i had been doing zone in indoor.. but this time round.. really is spirit willing but flesh is weak... only til when in the action i guess trust God to sustain me hahaa..

I can't wait for the next meeting on Tue so that we can finalise the plan for Batam Emerge.. having the privilege to be the main hall IC so it's like a H1 in Jurong West hehe.. The design of the audi is exactly like hollywood (with a balcony) but abt twice bigger.. Do pray for us to plan well and everything to be smooth there! =)

Oh ya wanted to share abt something.. (guess most of u already know this)
How to know if u are flowing in the spirit..
A good test for a start is to sense which stanza the song leader will sings during praise and worship in service; at which point of time is it building up or when is to quieten down. Or when pst goes up stage at end of worship, when at which point of time he'll continue singing the song again after praying etc. Usually i will have the sensing of which stanza is next and mostly i was right. At times i will peek and see the hand signals given to the musicians and found that it was correct. That helps a lot in flowing with the leader in the cgm to build a strong atmosphere and for a guitarist to bring down the presence of God even without the guide of the song leader.. It's all about hearing the Holy Spirit =)

I can't believe it but also not so surprised that my previous company forgot to pay my cpf contribution for april! had to receive the letter from cpf board before they paid me.. hmm anyway it's in now le hehe..

Hey! I just came back from the one-day JB mission trip.. thanks to those who prayed for me! it was fun and great time! "Fun" cos last min when we reach there they wanted to sing different praise and worship songs so we changed on the spot, didn't even have much time to practise. But thank God the teens knew the songs and the praise and worship was tremendous!

Drama, testimony, preaching were very good and the presence of God was so strong in the place. The kids were impacted. After the sermon and altar call, they wanted to sing another song which we didn't prepare.. So play by faith! Haha.. glad all went well and there was an atmosphere of faith. i'm not very gd in terms of skills but did learn a bit more, esp playing the guit in a band.

Happy to have made some more friends in this trip..mostly from team 1. After the service, the host family invited us to their home for home-cooked lunch. satay beehoon, chicken rice, salad, curry potato, durian, rambutan... dun drool haha.. They have 8 dogs and 2 cats in the house.. Though I had overcome the fear of dogs last time after some home visits but usually i will still keep away from them. But this time strangely i loved to play with the cute little dogs. Mayb my heart has opened up to accept more things after this trip.. So we fellowshipped and then head back to Spore - to home (supposed to sleep cos i woke at 4.30am but very excited so posted this first). Anyway the whole trip was a great experience.. It was a great time! =)

Now all of us have to face the fact.. studying 2 "big" BS books for Wed's test.. AFV and GOTP! Pray for strength and wisdom le..jia you all the SOT ppl.. exactly 6 more wks only .. Persevere! The end will be better than the beginning! no matter how difficult u think things are becoming..

Looking forward to the Batam Emerge which we are planning, and Jeff is gg over to recce tml. I think it will be also another time when new experiences can be gained and spiritual senses are strengthened.. So encourage everyone to go for as many mission trips as you can afford to.. dun ever think that you are too insignificant to play a part there.. when we go for mission trips, there will be a special grace and anointing.. And you will come back stronger!=)

Today was my farewell dinner with 4S3.. thanks everyone for making the effort to come..
Thanks for all the gifts which was what i like cos jean ser and i had opportunity to spend time together shopping on sunday.. very touched cos i know they are quite ex..

Happy that i have made a difference in this section.. just feel that it is like the fruit of my labour.. and time to move on. Times like this when ppl thank me for what i have done.. i look back and think to myself, actually i didn't really do that much but i guess other ppl are at a better position to see who u really are. =) It's strange that when someone was tokking just now.. it started to rain for just tat few minutes haha..

i know u all wanted to make me cry. usually i will cry easily but this time esp in front of so many ppl i think i was kept strong from within hehe (see next paragraph to know why).. It's only when i am alone that i don't bear to go and to try to accept the fact.. Anyway yep thks everyone once again..

Remaining SOT days are gg to be really crazy... i really got no idea how to cope. This morning i was crying tubs during worship cos can really feel that without God i can do nothing.. So many so many things that are pulling and stretching me out of my comfort zone.. ok tat's what makes SOT exciting rite!! Grace and mercy.. haha. God assured me of His love and anointing.. He said "Have I not called you, have I not anointed you.." Ya if God believes in me, what more can I not do!

Thank you 4S3.... :'(

i read judy, serene's blog.. and as i am typing this, do feel like tearing.. heart overwhelmed.. so now 4S3 know why i posted the previous post..

when the announcement of my transfer was made by xueli yest, i saw serene was trying not to cry hehe.. i believe many of the rest are sad too? haha.. so thick skin rite... but really, like wat i mentioned in my speech.. i have made many friends in these 7-8 mths here.. even if it is hi-bye sometimes during duty.. i hope i have made a difference in all your lives somehow or another.. There is so much i hope to see in all of you.. =)

I really feel it's a privilege for me to serve with u guys.. have some things to say to all my hardworking SL, TLs and helpers.. and also times of "huai2 jiu4"..

know you are busy but yet always concerned abt the growth and well-being of every usher.. learnt many things from you and i will still need ur help in future one haha.. thanks for the chance for me to serve you and for the opportunity to do more. Thanks for believing in me.. all the best in ur career!

Thanks for being always there to listen and encourage me.. i know cos certain things i can't 'complain' to anyone else so would mostly share with u.. Sorry for those who are my faithful readers... haven't blog these few days cos had been a hectic week..

I'm excited!! Cos i'm going for mission trip to JB on 22 July organized by SOT! though i went to jakarta before in Dec 03 and this time is only one day this time, but I believe it will be a great experience! I managed to go cos i can play the guitar.. then again is also by faith cos i dun think i am super good la..

Today we had practical lesson in SOT: moving in the gifts of prophecy, word of knowledge, word of wisdom etc. We found a partner whom we don't know at all and give a word. I was encouraged cos the word i gave was quite accurate both times and now i am more sure that the way God shows me is by impressions and words, not pictures. =)

In the 2nd practice, the sister spoke in the area of my ministry.. that i am praying of the next step, asking God how i can serve more and preparing myself for the next level.. i was like wow yep God You know it all.. and though i dun think i can make it, God assures me that i can do it and promotion comes from Him =) Amen! hehe..

And thank God today i can have a short break from work so now trying to settle all the outstanding things that i can only do in the day like gg to the bank etc.. stay tune for more updates!

Happy that i got my contact lens!! YEAH!! finally dun look so nerdy... hahaha..

Wah i got new electronics at home again.. new DVD player and recorder.. but now i'm wondering what they wanna do with the VCR tapes haha...

Think my dad is so nice.. when u love someone u go the extra mile. every time when i come home in evening not having taken my dinner, he will ask me wat i wanna eat and just go downstairs to buy for me.. hee =)

Once again yet another fren who is not super close to me would wanna open up and share her heart with me.. i consider it an honor and a privilege. i believe God called me to be a person of influence (that's how i named my blog).. it's really not how great i am but how great He is.. sometimes i simply just be a listener and a fren to be there for. Just want to love the person and share my life with them..
It was a few yrs ago when God revealed this to me and i started realising that ppl just come to me for help/resources/advices.. and whatever i say carry weight so all the more i need to be careful of the counsel i give.. to let the Holy Spirit be my guide! =)

Okie this post is to the fellow ministry friends.. Yest Pst Kong finished the fivefold ministry of a pastor.. being a good shepherd. that no matter how much operations there is.. we are still a people-oriented ministry..

Though i heard the points before, but just felt this is also a word in season for all the ushers and usher leaders in SOT.. Recently heard many things and stories tat happened in SOT but i know we are all not perfect and still learning.. just to highlight some relevant points i felt spoke to me the most:

- A good shepherd will correct and protect the sheep.
Realised that we need to look out for solitary, hermit and wandering sheep even in the team.
Those who stray and get distracted from serving or do not fellowship with other ushers; those who don't take advice or discipleship; those who breed discontent by talking to peers abt their leaders..

- A good shepherd fights for his sheep when they are in trouble.

- A good shepherd is gentle and merciful to his sheep.
(Ps 23:6)
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
Pst demonstrated literally how grace and mercy will follow us everywhere we go just like have God with us all the time. Was thinking.. God gave me His mercy but I really don't think i am the most patient person around also.. So I studied a bit on the word "mercy":

Feel really blessed today.. God is so good to me!

As I'm supposed to work abt 4 hrs a day, if i take public transport i can only reach at 3pm and end abt 7pm..
But today i got to know tat one of my SOT team member works in Ubi and drives a van! So i can hitch a ride next time and if i start early i can go off earlier (by right haha) Yea thank God for the blessing of saving transport money, time and energy. But as u know this line... it's never a fixed timing. OT is common but then again, praise God i can have OT pay!

The second good thing: Initially now I don't have a proper workspace or PC to use, so had to run abt transferring files to edit and print and email etc.. Had much problem and time wasted cos not enough disk space. So having had enough of all these since a long time ago.. my fren decided to buy another PC! So tml i got brand new MAC desktop PC to myself!! Haha.. Praise God! As some of you know.. i cannot survive without computer and internet one haha.. I love to work in front of the computer.. =)

Yep so thank God for His pleasant surprises to me haha.. What else can I say.. God is an awesome God! =)

Oh ya, was reminded yest tat this job has also showed that my value/worth has increased again! And then today Pst toked abt it .. abt how much his value increased over the years per hr of preaching.. Am happy that i am growing in this area.. on the way to more prosperity for the glory of God! =)

Glad that I went down last night for the last min JW prayer meet. It was really a sacrifice.. though i was tired at first but was recharged in the spirit after tat. Really felt the breakthrough and the presence of God, praise God that Sun was strengthened during the Shanghai concert due to our prayers.. The rain also died down after we prayed. God, You are amazing!

Have to get used to using Mac/Apple computers at work nowadays.. and Freehand is in Chinese! I tot the chinese translation in SOT is already bit challenging.. cos mostly in fan2 ti3 zi4. though my chinese was good in sec sch.. haven't touched Chinese since then..
