Check out Dear's new hair!

Yesh he was dragged to go for a transformation by his 'image consultant'.. aka me.
NICE rite!

Finally it's the last day at Jurongville later today!! My boss is so nice to give me half day time off to reward me for the 5 long wks there. So thank God for the time i can spend with Dear.. Quite relieved cos quite tired to teach 96 hours in 5 wks... Anyway also managed to crop a photo of my fav student Zhongsheng.. he's so cute and adorable!! He was the one who gave me the plastic flower on Vday..

Next will be Clementi Town (near commonwealth mrt) in March.. schedule not out yet. It's much nearer to my house but further from Dear's place haha... also means that any help needed would not be so near anymore.. but he'll come meet me for lunch hehe..

Dear pampered and bought me a nice dress + cardigan at LittleMatchGirl and we got a bag worth $65 free! Went to my CGM together, had blessings from my cgl and cg members..

Dear gave me my first bouquet of flowers today... so sweet! Blue Roses =)

No special occasion but purely out of love.. he can't help but to give haha.. and not to mention his DAILY "I love you"s.. sometimes even a few times a day heheh.. ssooo the hint to guys who dun do so: pls go and repent... wahaha :P

Some ppl think it's quite a short period of time.. but like what many ppl also say.. it's not the length of time but if he's the right one.

Trust me, i am amazed myself that i can know what he's thinking or wanting to say before he even say it. we have so many things in common it is an endless list. it is just amazing.. and somewhat too gd to be true? haha... i think it is a miracle itself bah cos it is all a gift from God hehe =)

I'm really blessed.. another blessing from my dad.. he said wanna pass me a 80GB external hard disk cos my existing one not much space left. I use it for backing up my files.. so.. no need to worry abt virtual space... realise tat $$ can buy virtual space!

There's F1 car show at Chingay.. it's max speed is 300km/h.. wooohoo..

Seems like someone wants me to blog? haha.. today had a nice relaxed lunch with yonghui and desmond.. was wondering why still so tired today after so many days of CNY rest.. anyway teaching is really tiring when the students dun listen to u.. it's really a skill to know how to handle teenagers. Bit brain dead after cracking my head in doing the Comms Schedule..Having a long but exciting wk ahead =)

Can't believe it... 4 days of holidays just gone like that.. spent half of the free time sleeping hmm..

the other half.. really enjoyed myself with all the outings and movies. =)

Went for the annual "Yu Sheng" at my uncle's place today.. Keng Hoe said it's more of "Yu2 Shan3" (fish hill) haha!

Design Education, Its Real Value: Designerly Confidence

Woodgrove Sec Sch is the Centre of Excellence for Design & Technology. DT Unit/CPDD/MOE and Design & Technology Educators Society is organising an event on 10 March 2008 for other D&T teachers to be exposed to the teaching resources available in the market.

Check out the nice building and environment.

Erm inspired by YH... so i just wanted to write. Guess there are also many things u dunno abt me... even my best buddies..

1983: Born in KK hospital, my name "Wanyun" means "music".

1984-1989: Didnt remember much of my childhood.. only by the old yellow photos (which i should start scanning)... cried a lot when i was a baby.. one time my mum so worried that brought me to hospital (just oppo road is SGH haa so convenient rite); another time i drank a whole bottle of syrup when my mum was on the phone... went into the hospital again. then went River Valley kindergarden.. remember the nap time where we had our own towels to sleep on haha..

1990: Studied in Zhangde Pri School.. known in school to be the one who conducts during flag raising, good at music and plays the piano..

1991-1992: Did well in school, first few places in cohort and received books + encyclopedias. Learn Violin for a year and still at Grade 1.. so stopped and gave it up.

1993: Joined Science Club so went for more trips than others to places like Science Centre etc.. but results dropped for no reason..

1995: Performed on the piano with my best fren tat time Sujin (who played the violin) at my batch's graduating ceremony. Graduated with aggregate 252. Got my Grade 5 in piano but gave it up due to lack of time and enduring interest.

1996: Enrolled into the most Chinese speaking environment i ever known: River Valley High. SAP school with no non-Chinese cos everyone takes Higher Chinese. Everyone was smart so some who are lazy still do well without a blink of the eye. Did suffer low self-esteem as i felt i couldn't keep up with them in my results, finances etc. Was in CLDDS (Chinese Language _____ Drama Society).. didn't know and didn't like to act on stage at all..

1998: Resorted to the backstage + props IC for the annual drama production (trained to be a leader and improved in my craft skills). Also learnt abacus somewhere this time but gave up.. not practical at all. Was my Chinese teacher's pet.. my chinese so gd that the whole class needed to buy the essay book except me. I would also remember all the words in "ting1 xie3"..

1999: O levels L1R5 -13. I was totally devastated cos most of my frens got at least 11 pts. RV trend is: the best go HCJC; the bulk of the average and above average enter NJC; the minority of not so gd ones go SAJC. I was the last category.. Went to CHC for the first time (invitation by my cousin) but didn't get saved.

2000: Stayed in SAJC after the 3 months.. later did i know the purpose i was there. I got saved when i was in SAJC on 25 June 2000 at the Family Carnival at Hollywood. Was the youngest in an adult cg but i love it cos i learnt a lot and grew more mature.. and always well taken care of. Joined ART Club and continued my passion.. also proud to say i didn't need to do AO Chinese cos i got A2 for higher Chinese haha..Gave my first building fund of $80 in 6 mths (with just allowance of $2 a day). Got a tuition job (blessing) shortly after and started my "tuitioning" every year ever since..

2001: Baptized on 24 June 2001 at the East Coast Beach.

2002: Joined usher ministry on 18 Feb 2002 when we first moved to Jurong West. The very first day of duty, i just knew in my heart, this is the place i will be staying for long. Started NUS life, cooped up in the freezing cold studio. Industrial Design is a niche subject, under Dept of Architecture... now i wonder why i didn't meet Yonghui in school last time.. I would meet my cousin Keng Hoe there though, he was at his last yr i think.

2003-2004: Continued serving actively in ministry and became a helper. With ups and downs.

2005: Became CG guitarist (and ever since til now playing almost every wk haha time flies!) Got attached. Joined Comms Dept (as the only sister at then). Promoted to Team Leader before moving to Expo.. on 15 Nov 05.

2006: Found first full time job after graduation. Learnt a lot, though it was a terrible environment with a terrible boss. Broke up. Learnt driving and got my license in less than 6 months.. proud to say i passed the first time (unlike many guys i know) and spent only abt $1.3K in total only!

2007: Went to SOT (13th batch)... really unforgettable experience and growth. God re-confirmed my calling in the ministry during GOTP lesson. Wanted to do graphic design but God had a greater plan: Found the miracle job i am at now.. with a good boss, good pay, at good location etc. Financial blessings increase and snowball year after year..

In summary, indeed God's word is proven to be true, God is faithful and good all the time.... Every year, the purpose of God just unfolds bit by bit in my life.. and i comprehend why certain things happen.. nothing in my life is coincident and no experience is wasted. Every year i realise new things and gifts that God has given me.. nothing can rob away that satisfaction knowing ur identity in Him. Also, thank God for the friends who had been with me, seeing me through all these years.. I'm blessed just by the ppl He placed in my life and the true friends i made.. hard to find that in the world. Not forgetting Jesus, my best Friend! Thank God for everything.. yep EVERYTHING.

Ok we broke record: 19 ppl today watching "27 Dresses" at PS.. It was a gathering of ppl who came from various places: JW, Expo, CGM, home etc.. was fun but a little too big to have proper fellowship? haha..

Always appreciated and treasure the times i can sit down in the zone in service to attend svc and especially concentrating to listen to sermon.. like today. I really love Pst Tan's preaching.. he not only has the same preaching style/pattern as Pst Kong, you can really see and sense the abundant love of God overflowing in his life.. his smile shows his love for ppl tat can melt your heart.. at least it happens to me.. This wk's msg was really good.

Embrace God's purpose in your situation.

Nurture your spiritual roots.

Direct your attention to Jesus Christ.

Use your experience to help others.

Rely on God's power.

Expect God to bless you!

FOCUS . FORGIVENESS . FAITH . FORTITUDE .

Share with u all my revelation abt serving in relation to what Pst preached (Having endurance and finishing the race):
Our ministry life should be a journey that increases our faith in God. Through serving, we learn to handle pressure and more pressure; responsibilities and more responsibilites. Instead of burning out and giving up, serving in a ministry should strengthen our salvation and our walk with God.. while we do more, we trust God more and more to take care of all our needs. These faith muscles are built to help us even in our daily lives in the marketplace.. Skills learnt in the ministry are also applicable in the marketplace too.. so thank God for that.. and let's keep on keeping on!

Yep and btw i started this blog in June 07 when i was in SOT.. when i felt i can record the revelations and share with everyone.. it is for someone someday to read and be blessed by them.. =)
